Aril Estate produces a variety of tapenades. These include:
Manzanilla turning colour tapenade contains natural bitters that enhance the full olive flavour.
Californian queen tapenade has a mild but sweet and savoury olive taste.
Picual tapenade has a natural mild acetic acid (vinegar) taste and a firm tasty flesh.
The tapenade is made from crushing and passing our olives through a fine grate to provide a smooth paste. This allows for easy spreading on crackers and bread. It is common for olive oil to separate from the paste. Simply mix the paste and oil using a dry knife to ensure consistency.
Ensure that you refrigerate tapenade once opened.
