The Book Nest - Sencha Green Tea

This smooth drinking, nutritious Sencha has a seaweedy twang and light grassiness. It's a perfect all-day drinking tea for a marathon reading session. Traditionally made from Japanese short-leaf camelia sinensis, this batch comes from China. A short brew boasts that sweet aroma, while steeping up to 90 seconds can bring out its bitterness and intensify the flavour.

Serving suggestion: When brewing Sencha, don't overheat the water. Steep the leaves at 80-85 degrees Celsius for around 20 seconds.
